The People’s Food COP Stockholm – Food for people, not for profit.
A People’s Summit
Date: 21 november
Time: 17.00-19.30
Location: Reformaten, Åsögatan 170, Stockholm
Join us for a seminar that will explore the importance of food rights, particularly in the context of climate change mitigation. In collaboration with Reformaten, we will host The People’s Food COP in Stockholm, focusing on sustainable food systems and equitable access to food. This seminar offers a unique opportunity to hear from and engage with inspiring voices from the global movement La Vía Campesina (LVC) featuring Brenda Nyaradzai Muronda, program officer from Zimbabwe, and Christine Nabwami, a small-scale farmer and community advocate from Uganda. Furthermore, the seminar will be joined by Damir Radović from the local initiative Det Gror i Betongen.
Why Attend?
Small-scale producers have protected seeds, land and water for generations, yet continue to face numerous injustices. This is as true globally as locally. This event, featuring expert speakers and dynamic discussion, will explore food system transformation as a path to both social and environmental justice. Together, we will discuss the redistribution of resources and policies that put people before profit. The seminar will be held in English.
