The earth bleeds in furious fits -Nigerians poesi

The earth bleeds
In furious fits
Her fangs are flat and feeble
Her sanctuaries are soiled

The earth bleeds
In furious fits
Her fanciful face is flab and flaky
Hurt by horrendous human hands

The earth bleeds
In furious fits
Her sons are dead and belly up
Afloat in poisoned ponds

See is jerking, it’s no Jackson’s jigs
She’s down at the rapist ramps!

The earth bleeds in furious fits
She is heaving as breathless beast
Deprived of all her dignity
Doomed, ditched, desecrated!

The earth bleeds
In furious fits
Her belly bruised and burnt
By mankind’s menacing merchants
Whose only God is glistening gold
Who will leave tears in their trail
Yet will not think about a thought
That in those trails are tots
Whose dreams are dimmed and darkened
By impatient, pounding profiteers
Burrowing earth’s burning bellies

Mother earth is bleeding sore!
Halt! Halt! You hounding hounds!
Can’t you see the sky is falling
Over, above your heady heads?
Cant you see the ground is giving
Under your looting, loathsome legs?

Do you think we didn’t see
Do you think we didn’t know
We, muddied children of the earth
When you burrowed at Mama Earth
How you left her scarred, soiled and shamed?
We are coming, with jabs of judgement!
